Churnet Valley Gala 6th/7th February 2010

5542 was requested to appear at the Churnet Valley Railway Winter Gala at just 2 days notice. Despite the loco being in a 'Winterised'  condition all stops were pulled out and the loco duly arrived at Cheddleton 48hrs later.As always we were 'up for a challenge' and were very pleased to be able to stand in for 71000 'Duke of Gloucester' at very short notice.

Stop Press: Having proved popular over the weekend gala the stay is extended for a Photo charter with Large Prairie 5199 and an extra days' service. Due to return to the G/WR later this month.
